The Group unbundled in 2006, creating three individual groups specializing in each of their core businesses, namely cash in transit, cleaning and security. The Cash in transit division was subsequently sold. Now, some five years later, The Fidelity Security Group (Pty) Ltd (FSG) is re-entering the market as a national service provider in the provision of all cash solution services in the near future. Without further ado another curtain is raised in Fidelity's Service Bouquet with the introduction of Fidelity Security Management.

National Command Centre:
Fidelity Security Services introduces South Africa's most State-of-the Art Control Centre, truly being the first of its kind in the Security Industry. With the client's needs in mind, Fidelity has created a control centre unlike anything South Africa has ever seen.
Undoubtedly, anyone serious about Asset Management Services would agree that a security company's Monitoring Centre is the heart and soul of the operation.
Real-time monitoring, continuing system maintenance, ongoing technological research and development, and dynamic operations are utilised in making this pulsating nerve centre tick.
The control centre exceeds SAIDSA standards. A disaster recovery or backup control centre is in place to provide our clients with the assurance that their systems are always monitored in the unlikely event of a disaster.
The Fidelity Monitoring division consists of handpicked individuals with specific skills and experience with the mandate to manage client risk by means of a "multi-service-coordination" approach.
Fidelity's National Command centre has an ergonomic design to sustain the 24/7 operation. Staff work shifts and each team has its own infrastructure and support systems.
The staff are pre-selected and go through a process selection criteria which includes among others a Criminal check, Credit worthiness check, PSIRA grading, basic control centre procedures and Integrity testing. These basic skills are then honed during the in-house training process provided on site.
Fidelity's response infrastructure offered to all major banking institutes and cash depots is supported by its extensive National Footprint.
Live satellite tracking & real-time monitoring systems: The state-of-the-art technology specially designed for the cash logistics industry enables Fidelity to plot each vehicles' every movement at any given time. Waypoints are plotted en-route, which immediately notifies the controlroom if the vehicle deviates from the preprogrammed route.
The system generates "exception alarms" when vault doors, crew doors and the hatch are tampered with either whilst in-transit or at the clients premises.
Vehicles: Fidelity has done extensive research pertaining to the manufacturing of Security In Transit vehicles. Our fleet of modern armour-plated vehicles is specially adapted to the cash logistics industry to provide integrated cash transportation services, constantly monitored, in real-time, by our National Command Centre ensuring a robust audit trail.
All vehicles are equipped with the most state-of-the-art tracking and communications systems, Interlocking systems, vaulting facilities with global locks, panic buttons, cross pavement carriers, safes and wheels fitted with run-flat defense systems.
All vehicles are equipped with real-time tracking devices which ensures that the controlroom is aware of the vehicles enroute. The vehicles are fitted with dual-tracking devices which fully integrates with GPS & GPRS technology coupled with the latest mobile-phone technology which enables the National Command Centre to locate and track any vehicle at any time.
Cross Pavement Carriers: Tamper evident containers are utilised and each one has its own unique bar code. Collections and deliveries are tailored to suit every individual client's needs this will undoubtedly save time and money and subsequently protect your staff. Cross pavement carriers utilized are fitted with security devices and these include among others, alarm activations, external smoke and internal dye and heat.
Training & Personnel: Fidelity ensures the supply of specially trained, uniformed and equipped security personnel to blend in with the upmarket image of the commercial environment and to deal with its peculiarities, such as a demanding public and high expectations from clients. The security personnel employed have undergone strict integrity and credit worthiness verification procedures, have PSIRA grading and are trained in prevailing firearms legislation and usage under the new firearms act.
Fidelity has In-house Training Academies accredited with SAQA and SETA, across South Africa, ensuring Industry leading assets-in-transit and firearms training. The academies provide SASSETA registered learnerships which complies with the Skills Development Act and NQF 3-General Security Practices. The assets-in-transit crews are hand-selected and consists of a driver as well as crewman who undergo advanced driving and observations skills along with specialized Assist-In-Transit training courses provided by the academy.
All personnel are remunerated according to legislation and as such comply with The Road Freight Bargaining Council standards.
Fidelity's dynamic operations management team adopts a hands-on management approach, ensuring unsurpassed service levels as well as regular client feedback.
Safety Measures: The systems installed in the vehicles ensure that the 'road staff' cannot gain access to the collection routes and clientele for the next day, proactively diminishing internal fraud and collusion. The road crew are equipped with protective attire in line with industry standards.
Structured Insurance Cover: Insurance cover options are available to clients and can be structured to suit the individual needs of the client.
Value Proposition: Fidelity will provide all new clients with service induction training, which includes a manual serving as an easy reference guide to assist the client with the Cash In Transit procedures. It is designed to familiarise all Fidelity Security Management) Cash in Transit clients with the use of tamper evident bags, the sealing thereof and handing over thereof to the company's representative, including the collection and delivery procedures.
Fidelity Security Management will use the best top-level proactive reaction services supported by a specialized Tactical Air Support (T.A.S) Unit. The Unit comprises of specially trained Tactical security personnel with the support of the interactive National Command Centre. In addition a Tactical Ground Support Unit is available, which includes, a qualified paramedic as well as trained security dogs. Should the client opt for such as an addition to their service, this unit would respond in the event of an emergency.
Covert Intelligence gathering is conducted via unique methods. Fidelity has created an interactive jacket that has the ability to gather live intelligence, monitoring and tracking. It consists of a hidden earpiece, GPRS Tracking, Camera, Panic Button. Live feeds are transmitted to the national command centre by taking covert photographs of suspicious persons and/or vehicles. This proactive approach ensures that live information is gathered and distributed to assist in identifying potential threats.
Fidelity has contingency plans in place in the case of any emergency.
